Eco-Lodge Yatama title

Ecolodge Yatama

Yatama Lodge, at 470 meters elevation and located in the buffer zone of Braulio Carrillo national park, is a wonderful getaway with a large diversity of plants, insects, amphibians, mammals and of course birds. As there has never beena lot of traffic to this area the habitat remains almost untouched providing good opportunities to spot wildlife. Wildcats, tapir, agouti, manakins, toucans, and trogons are seen almost year round.

There is also great scenery here and just a 15 minute walk from your door leads you to one of the Costa Rica most dominant yet dormant volcanoes, Cerro Cacho Negro, which is now covered by rainforest and waterfalls.
Deep in the jungle, away from neighbors, Yatama is a place to rest and learn, appreciate mother nature, and feel at home as you encounter nature at your own pace.

This eco-lodge, which runs on solar power, is meant to be an educational tool for nature lovers where you are “not a tourist you are a traveler.” Yatama is also only 2 hrs from San Jose and 1 hour from Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui.
